My work with someone always begins with a free phone or virtual consultation. During this time, I will learn more about what type of help you are looking for and what successful therapy would look like to you. I also ask questions to ensure that the issues bringing you to therapy are those that I am trained to support. I will share how I work and my approach to treatment so that together we can decide if we are a good match for working together. Provided we do decide to work together, I will share my informed consent and HIPAA privacy practices and will also ask you to complete a brief symptom measure to get a better understanding of what is most challenging you in the present.
Each session will be scheduled during a mutually agreed upon time. Consistency is an important aspect of the treatment process. If at any time I assess that a higher level of care is needed, or that I am not able to provide you with the expertise needed to assist you, I will raise that for discussion and assist you in connecting with the most appropriate care. You are free to decide when you feel the time is right to bring our relationship to a close. With your consent, I will coordinate with other providers assisting you as you seek to improve your heath and mental health.
Our sessions can take place using my virtual office or my in-person office suite located in Cornwall, NY. You decide the best environment for your care. Both my virtual and in-person offices are private and confidential spaces.
I am credentialed with the following insurance providers:
Aetna, Cigna, Oscar, Oxford and United HealthCare.
I can also provide the documentation needed for reimbursement through out-of-network benefits.
